On April 28, 2009 Parked.com, a leading domain parking company, acquired WhyPark. The purchase creates synergies between the two companies by combining WhyPark's strength in developing traffic with Parked.com's competitive advantage in monetizing traffic. Parked.com's acquisition of WhyPark will offer several exciting advantages for WhyPark customers including a new premium top-tier feed for offering the highest revenue effective immediately. We have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions to assist you with information on the purchase and to share with you additional advantages that you will experience, both immediately and in the near future, as a WhyPark customer. How will my WhyPark account be affected?

At WhyPark, you'll start to see some advantages of this acquisition immediately and others will be released over time.

What are the advantages I'll see from this acquisition?

You will immediately notice the advantage of utilizing Parked.com's monetization expertise, direct premium feeds and payments made twice per month. When using the WhyPark integrated ad network, you will now be displaying more relevant targeted ads that utilize both WhyPark's and Parked.com's technology and pay the maximum revenue. Related search terms will also change based on historical data from Parked.com where known terms convert and pay well based on a domain's theme.

Longer term, we will continue to share technology and existing partnerships to make each of our platforms more robust and better for all of our customers.

Will Parked.com employees be able to help me with my WhyPark account?

Questions concerning WhyPark features or your account should be directed to WhyPark.

Who will pay me for my revenue earned through WhyPark?

You will be paid by Parked.com, but reports for revenue earned through your WhyPark sites will continue to be available through the WhyPark platform.

WhyPark staff knows my portfolio and account. Will I still be able to communicate with those people I've worked with in the past?

I paid to have a WhyPark account setup, but now it's free. What are you doing for those customers who have paid?

We value the customers who have helped make the WhyPark platform what it is today. As a customer prior to this acquisition, you'll enjoy the following grandfathered benefits as a "thank you":

  • Change to support an unlimited number of sites in your WhyPark account.
  • A 10% higher advertising revenue share
  • A lifetime discount on managed and promotional services of 10%. If you are currently an Enhanced subscriber, your discount will be increased from 5% to 10%
  • The ability to continue to choose between the new WhyPark enhanced feed or use your third-party ad code. New standard accounts will not be able to use third-party ad code
  • The ability to customize the HTML and CSS of layouts. New standard accounts will be able to choose from our template gallery only.

How soon will we start seeing results from the monetization expertise and feed enhancements?

You'll notice now. The new ad feed is now active on all sites that have chosen to use the WhyPark ad network instead of 3rd party ads.

Since there are no setup fees, what type of new referral program will be in place for customers I refer to WhyPark?

Our new referral program will be based on revenue earned by WhyPark for the customers you refer. Similar to the Parked.com referral program, you will be paid 10% of the revenue your referred accounts earn during their first 12 months with us. If a referred customer orders a managed or promotional service, or upgrades their account, you will earn 10% of the order total every month and for each service ordered during their first 12 months. The previous Clickbank referral program is no longer active.

How often will you pay me for my WhyPark revenue and what payment options will be available?

You will be paid twice per month on the 7th and 22nd with multiple payment options including PayPal, Direct Deposit (US customers), Check or International Wire Transfer.

Will my login information change at either Parked.com or WhyPark?

No. Each platform will remain independent with separate logins.

How do I get help if I have questions about the WhyPark acquisition?

If I'm also a Parked.com customer, will I get 1 or 2 payments per pay period from Parked.com?

You will receive individual payments at each pay period: one for your WhyPark earnings and one for your Parked.com earnings.

When will revenue stats be available?

Your stats will continue to be finalized and displayed by 4pm EST the following day. So, Monday's stats will be available by Tuesday at 4pm.

Do I need to do anything during this ownership transition?

No. Accounts have been automatically grandfathered and we'll continue to implement new features and update you as they become available.
